This thoughtfully converted Lake House has many special touches that make for a memorable getaway.

Everything was provided for a comfortable stay, and we were made to feel very welcome by the friendly owner.

It's an idyllic bucolic setting perfect for unwinding, with pleasant walks through country lanes and grassy tracks leading from the property's entrance. We enjoyed feeding the ducks, geese, swans and carp in the lake with the pellets provided.

At dusk, the view over the lake and the sense of being immersed in nature was nothing short of enchanting.

A citronella candle was provided so we could enjoy the roomy lantern-lit outdoor seating and BBQ areas. Happy to report, we didn't get even one insect bite! Much to our delight and surpise, the Lake House even has its own separate mini pub, complete with bar stools and table football.

There is a huge and very luxurious bed in the main bedroom, from which we loved hearing the sounds of the frog chorus as we drifted to sleep.
